If you are invited to someone’s house or apartment in Prague, you will be expected to remove your shoes upon entering. Some hosts will offer slippers. You are not expected to buy a gift if you have never met with the hosts before. If you do buy a gift, it is always best to check with whoever invited you as to what you should buy. Buying for children finds favor with all Czech people.
