This Monday's TEFL Prague tip is...
When you are teaching you will inevitably by asked a question by a student which perhaps you are not fully sure of the answer, or which you simply don't know or can't remember at that moment. Remember that you are not infallible and that you can't be expected to hold total recall. Teachers are human and make mistakes or simply don't know the answer. If you are asked an awkward question which you find yourself not being able to answer on the spot then it is perfectly fine to thank the student for the question, make a note of the question on your notepad or computer, and then add that you will address the question in the next lesson. This gives you the room to complete the lesson and then to research the question outside of class time and to come back in the next class and address the question with the correct answer.
Hope it helps!
Hezky den!/Lovely day!
