Once you have an apartment arranged one of the first things you need to do is write your full name on your post box (either by writing it on a piece of paper and sticking it on or by writing on a slip of paper and placing it in the name slot on your post box). Lots of expats assume that their post will automatically be delivered because well, they are living in the building. Not so. If your name isn't on the post box then you won't receive mail. Also, if you don't want to recive a whole load of junk through the post then best to write on a piece of paper Reklamu Ne! and stick it on your post box too - this will avoid getting all those supermarket special offers which can quickly jam up your post box.
