This Monday's TEFL Prague tip is...
Teaching schedules can sometimes leave you without sufficient time to sit down and eat lunch at your own pace. When I was teaching full-time I would often find myself with a lunchtime gap but needing to hop across town to my next teaching class. Often I would just grab a sandwich to go, or hastily choose something to munch on from a garage shop - something to fill me up and get me through the afternoon teaching assignment. I soon found that I was putting on weight. A lot of weight. Snacking on high calorie foods isn't just bad for your weight - it's also often bad for your body in general. My tip if you do find yourself cut short for time at lunch or dinner is to prepare nutritious food the night before to take with you for your teaching day. It can be a risotto or salad for example, prepared to your taste requirements - filling but also nutritious and low in fat.
Hope it helps!
Hezky den!/Lovely day!
