Monday's TEFL Prague Quick Tip

This Monday's TEFL Prague tip is...

If you feel yourself craving some beach scene in landlocked Prague then the nearest you are going to get to that is by heading down to The Smichov Beach, located on the Smichov Bank of the river Vltava. The Smichov Beach is open everyday throughout the summer, from 10:00am to 10:00pm (until mid September). The beach has all the usual beach elements, such as a layer of lovely white sand, wooden floors, parasols, bar and restaurant. Beach Volleyball is played, as well as Petanque. In addition, there is also a swimming pool which floats in the river (because the river isn't considered safe to swim in). A small entrance fee is charged but this should be under 100 CZK. The beach sports wonderful haunting views of Vysehrad and on any given day can hold a max capacity of 500 people. Well worth a visit for an authentic beach scene less than 30 minutes tram ride from the center of Prague.

Hope it helps!

Hezky den!/Lovely day!

Neville :-)
