ITTP TEFL Prague: Friday Questions

This Friday's question is...

-Q: I wish to apply before Jan. 1 to ensure the discount rate. I would like to put down a deposit to save a spot for the May 2012 course. If I can't make it in May will you hold the deposit for another class that year? Lets say I can't make May but can make it for June, will that deposit transfer for another class?

-A: Yes, this is possible. Unlike some other TEFL/TESOL schools we do not charge for course transfers - you can transfer as many times as you like. This basically means that we transfer your full current course balance to a different month. We do just ask that you pls let us know within a month of your scheduled course start date so we can confirm class student numbers. Plans do change and we are extremely sympathetic towards clients who find themselves with time-issues and we always provide students with the option of course transfer (even if they tell us last minute, as does happen occasionally).

Hope it helps!

ITTP TEFL Prague: Friday Questions

This Friday's question is...
-Q: Hello. My partner and I are very interested in applying to ITTP. Will it be possible for a couple to find teaching assignments in the same city/school?

-A: It will definitely be possible to find teaching positions in the same city.
We can't always guarantee teaching positions together in the same school but this is a possibility also and schools definitely tend to favor couples applying together because of the added security and responsibility factor which they bring to the table - couples are usually less likely to have sudden game plan changes and terminate their teaching contract early. Couples tend to have an easier time teaching abroad initially because they tend to be more in their comfort zone in the first few months of settling into a new teaching position.

Hope it helps!

ITTP TEFL Prague: Friday Questions

This Friday's question is...

-Q: Is there a required set of materials I need to bring to class?

-A: All ITTP class materials are provided for and this also applies to copying resources, pens, paper, writing pad, bilingual dictionary, etc. If you did purchase any of the ITTP optional pre-course recommended reading list titles, or if you have a lap top or tablet with you then we do recommend bringing these to class with you as an additional reference aid - but you don't have to (everything is covered in the course materials provided as part of the scheduled course syllabus). At ITTP we have a fixed inclusive course price policy so what you are quoted at time of course purchase is all you have to pay - unlike some other courses in the city (which charge for copying facilities, etc.) we do not nickel and dime you AT ALL once you take the journey and arrive to Prague. This means that with ITTP TEFL Prague all you need to make sure to bring with you on your first day of classes is yourself :-)

Hope it helps!

Hezky vikend!/Lovely weekend!
