Teaching work available at highly recommended English preschool...

Hello,

I am contacing you in regards of an open teaching position at DINO PRESCHOOL.

Is there a posibility you could advertise this to some students that are looking for a job here in Prague, we are located in Prague 10 Petrovice.

It is a full time position, working with small children ages 3 to 5, starting as of september 1st.

My email adress for CW’s is jana.rejcha@dinoskola.cz, tel. 723 849 437.

Thank you very much for your time and I do hope to hear from you soon.

Jana Rejcha

Director Dino Preschool

Summer teaching work offer just arrived in on our desk this week...

I am writing today as I know you have a TEFL course finishing this week and I\'d like to offer your graduates a fantastic opportunity to get instant experience on their CV and earn money throughout summer which is always tough for new teachers looking for work.

We are the biggest company running summer camps for children in the Czech Republic and 2013 will be our 20th season. We currently offer four camps:

Summer Time - A traditional Czech camp where children have a 45 min English lesson every day as a bonus. We have 3 terms of Summer Time running through July and hire a total of 9 teachers.

English 4 You - Our English teaching camp. Children have 4 hours of English lessons a day plus sports and all the usual camp activities. We have 5 terms throughout the summer and hire a total of 35 teachers.

Eurocamp - 2013 will be the 8th year of Eurocamp and it started as we tried to find a middle ground between Summer Time and English 4 You. Eurocamp is a traditional camp, without actual lessons but all in English. This years theme is \'The American Dream in 10 days\'. We have 5 terms throughout the summer and hire a total of 35 teachers.

English 4 You at Maderovka - A new camp which started in 2012 is a \'luxury\' version of our English 4 You camp. The idea is the same but the camp takes place at the beautiful hotel Maderovka and children have hotel rooms with tv and wi-fi instead of cabins as well as homemade food as opposed to canteen style food. We have 3 terms and hire a total of 8 teachers for Maderovka.

We still have availability throughout the summer and I would be happy to consider your graduates. It is an ideal place to put their new skills into practice and get that experience on their CV\'s before starting a job in September.

We pay the following amounts in cash on the final day of each term, after tax:

Eurocamp - 4200kc

English 4 You - 4600kc

Summer Time - 5200kc

All food, transport (to and from Prague) and accommodation provided.

I would be grateful if you could pass this on to your graduates (or alumni) and tell them to email me with their CV (gresty@sykaagency.cz)

Kind Regards

Dave Gresty

A general notice for our readers

Hi :-)

Our attention was recently brought to an online dialogue, initiated by a HBlendon (of whom we have no records of ever having taken one of our courses) in which this individual claims that we (ITTP) fake reviews and have terrible accommodation. On top of this HBlendon also describes his course experience with ITTP as being far from a positive one.

Firstly, we would like to apologize unreservedly to HBlendon if he or she did in fact take one of our courses and experienced such appalling service. HBlendon, could you please contact me directly to just confirm for me that you are a Client of the program so that we can then take a look at your complaint and see how we can compensate you. We have been running courses now for over 10 years and we really care about the reputation of our company and school product and whilst the vast majority of Clients are satisfied we do understand that not everyone can be and we always encourage both negative and positive feedback so that we can identify where we are going right and where perhaps more work needs to be done to further improve our service.

Secondly, regarding tefl review websites:
I would be extremely wary of some of the TEFL review websites out there which claim to be independent, especially those which run TEFL school advertising on their sites. We had a very unpleasant experience with a couple of these sites last year after receiving some unusual negative reviews (the timing of which coincided with the negative review published by HBlendon) and the behavior of the owners demonstrated to us that perhaps their insistence of being independent and unbiased wasn't exactly reflected in real terms.
We recommend http://www.tefl-courses-reviews.com (previously tefl-reviews.com) because they don't promote any TEFL school advertising and experience has shown to us that they really evaluate each and every review which is published on their site.
You may view our Onsite course reviews reviews here: http://tefl-courses-reviews.com/ITTP-Prague-TEFL-Prague.html
You may view our Online course reviews reviews here: http://tefl-courses-reviews.com/ittp-tefl-online.html

In addition, we also run this company blog which lists (among other things) student feedback and company partner information:
http://ittp-tefl-prague-tesol.blogspot.com

We have recently partnered up with Lufthansa airlines and UNICEF. Regarding UNICEF, a percentage of the fee from every new student who signs up for one of our courses goes directly to UNICEF. UNICEF help children in need around the world and we are proud to be charity partner with them.
We have also featured in the international press:
http://tefl-prague.com/ITTP-TEFL-PRAGUE-REVIEWS.jpg

With over 10 years company experience in international TEFL/TESOL and with over a thousand Graduates to date, we really have no need to fake reviews. It is true that our accommodation option a few years ago was not the best but since March 2012 we have had new accommodation which seems to be bringing us excellent feedback through the verified reviews received on tefl-courses-reviews.com.

Once again HBlendon, we do apologize if you had a bad experience with us and if you could please get in touch with me and I will make sure that your complaint is heard and acted upon. Please feel free to email me directly:
neville@tefl-prague.com
Thank you.

Message for U.S. Citizens: Final Opportunities to Return Voted Ballots

Message for U.S. Citizens

Embassies and consulates are not polling places.  The majority of states require voted ballots to reach local election officials by the close of polls on Tuesday, November 6th.  U.S. citizens who want to participate in the 2012 U.S. general elections should already have returned their absentee ballots to their local election officials.  U.S. embassies and consulates are not polling places; same-day in-person voting is not available outside the United States.

Ballot not yet sent to local election officials?  All voters who wish to participate in this election who have not yet sent their ballots to their local election officials should consider returning their ballot to the United States via an express courier service such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL.  Some states or counties may allow you to return your voted ballot electronically.  Check your state’s voting procedures at www.FVAP.gov for guidance.

Returning your Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot by email or fax.
The following states allow voters to use email or fax to send signed, voted Federal Write-in Absentee Ballots to local election officials:  Arizona, California (fax only), Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Washington, and West Virginia.  Check your state’s voting procedures at www.FVAP.gov for guidance.

Returning ballots via express courier service.
Voters can hire express courier companies such as UPS, DHL, and FedEx to return voted ballots.  Through October 31st, FedEx is offering discounted shipping for last-minute voters in 94 countries, including the Czech Republic, through the Express Your Vote Program. Ballots sent to local election officials via express courier service do not receive standard postmarks, so voters using this method should confirm delivery on or before November 6th prior to payment and shipment.

Returning your ballot by mail.  Ballots sent via mail at this late date are unlikely to reach local election officials by state ballot receipt deadlines.  If you still wish to send your voted ballot via mail, place your voted ballot in a U.S. postage-paid envelope (attached) addressed to your local election officials.  Drop it off at the Embassy Prague and we’ll send it back home for you without the need to pay international postage.  If you can’t visit the Embassy in person, ask a friend or colleague drop it off for you.  You do not need an appointment to drop off your ballot at the embassy.

Confirm your registration and ballot delivery online.  Learn more at the Federal Voting Assistance Program's (FVAP) website at www.FVAP.gov.

Message for U.S. Citizens: Completing and Returning Your Absentee Ballot

Absentee ballots already delivered to overseas voters
Every U.S. citizen who requested an absentee ballot and selected the fax or email delivery option should have received it by now.  Please vote and take steps to return your voted ballot promptly so your vote will count.  See instructions below.

Returning your ballot by mail
Place your voted ballot in a U.S. postage-paid envelope containing the address of your local election officials.  Drop it off at the Embassy and we will send it back to the U.S. for you without the need to pay international postage.  Ballots may be delivered to the Embassy’s American Citizen Services Section Monday through Friday between the hours of 0830-1130 or 1300-1600.

If it’s easier for you to use the Czech postal system, please be sure to affix sufficient international postage, and allow sufficient time for international mail delivery.  If time is tight, you may want to use a private courier service (e.g., FedEx, UPS, or DHL) to meet your state's ballot receipt deadline.

Returning your ballot by email, fax, or upload
Some states allow these options, but may also require you to still mail in the signed paper ballot.  Learn more at the Federal Voting Assistance Program's website at www.FVAP.gov.

Haven’t received your ballot yet?
Use the emergency write-in ballot.  U.S. citizens who requested an absentee ballot but haven’t received it should go to www.FVAP.gov to complete a Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot.  Follow the above guidance for returning your ballot.  If you later receive your regular absentee ballot, vote and return it immediately.  Local election officials will count just one ballot per voter, and will use the regular ballot if received by your state’s ballot receipt deadline.

Forgot to register or request an absentee ballot? It’s Not Too Late!
Option #1:  Register and request a ballot today using the federal post card application at www.FVAP.gov.  Select the electronic ballot delivery option, include your email address (and fax number) and send it to local election officials in your state.  Almost every state lets you submit it by email or fax.  Once your application is processed they will send you your ballot via fax or email depending on your state.  Vote as soon as you receive the blank ballot.  Registration deadlines vary and some are as early as October 7, so check your state’s requirements carefully.

Option#2:  Follow the instructions in Option #1, but also complete and send in a Federal Write-in Ballot at the same time to make sure your vote is counted.  This option may be the best one for first-time voters if your state requires you to submit your Federal Post Card Application by mail.  Vote and submit your regular absentee ballot if/when it arrives.  Local election officials will count just one ballot per voter, and will use the regular ballot if it's received by the ballot receipt deadline.

Option #3:  Voters from the following states can use the Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot as a combined voter registration form, absentee ballot request, and absentee ballot:  Alaska, Arizona,
Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Maryland,Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington.  (NOTE: This form must reach your local election officials by your state's absentee ballot request deadline or voter registration deadline, whichever is first.)

Returning your Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot by mail
Follow the preceding guidance for returning your ballot by mail.

Returning your Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot by email or fax
The following states allow voters to email or fax their signed, voted Federal Write-in Absentee Ballots back to local election officials:  Arizona, California (fax only), Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Washington, and West Virginia.  (NOTE:  see instructions at www.FVAP.gov for faxing or emailing your voted ballot.)

Confirm your registration and ballot delivery online.  Learn more at the Federal Voting Assistance Program's (FVAP) website at www.FVAP.gov.

ITTP Prague wishes all its U.S. citizen clients a Happy 4th of July!

Message taken directly from the July 2012 American Citizen Services Prague Newsletter:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Happy 4th of July!  U.S. citizens around the globe will soon mark the 236th anniversary of our Nation’s Independence Day with family and community gatherings, food, and fireworks.  For U.S. citizens living outside the United States, the 4th of July is an opportunity for all of us, regardless of political affiliation, to celebrate our shared values as citizens of the United States of America.

Have a say in our country’s future.  One of our most treasured values is the right and the privilege to vote – to participate actively in our country’s democratic process.  This November, U.S. citizens will elect a President, Vice President, one-third of the Senate, and the entire House of Representatives.  We  encourages all U.S. citizens to participate in this year’s elections, and stand ready to help you vote.

Almost all overseas U.S. citizens can vote. Twenty-two states and the District of Columbia now allow adult children who have never resided in the United States to vote using their parents’ state of  voting residence.  Details are available on the FVAP website at http://www.fvap.gov/reference/nvr-res.html.

Register and request a ballot. To vote, new laws require you to complete and submit a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) this calendar year.  The FPCA allows you to register to vote and request an absentee ballot.  If you haven’t yet done so, we urge you to do so now.  The easiest way to complete it is online at www.FVAP.gov.  Depending on your State’s rules, you then send it to your local election officials electronically or by mail.

Mailing guidance. Print out the completed FPCA and the (U.S.) postage-paid envelope containing the address of your local election officials.  You can drop off the postage-paid envelope (containing your FPCA) at the Embassy, and we will mail it back home for you without the need to pay international postage.  If it’s easier for you to use the Czech Republic’s postal system, be sure to affix sufficient international postage and allow sufficient time for international mail delivery.

Make your vote count!  Follow your State’s absentee voting procedures carefully.  Send in your FPCA before the registration deadline.   When you get your ballot, vote and mail it promptly so it reaches local election officials by your State’s absentee ballot receipt deadline.
Questions?  If you have any questions about registering to vote, please contact Embassy Prague's Voting Assistance Officer at votePrague@state.gov.

IMPORTANT VOTING INFORMATION:  New absentee voting laws are in effect for the 2012 elections.  You may no longer automatically receive ballots based on a previous absentee ballot request.  All U.S. citizens outside the United States who want to vote by absentee ballot in U.S. elections should complete a new Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) every year.

States are now required to send out ballots 45 days before an election.  No matter what State you vote in, you can now ask your local election officials to provide your blank ballots to you electronically (by e-mail, internet download, or fax, depending on your State).  You can now also confirm your registration and ballot delivery online.  Be sure to include your e-mail address on the form to take advantage of the electronic ballot delivery option.  This is the fastest and most reliable way to receive your ballot on time, and we strongly recommend every voter take advantage of it.  Learn more at the Federal Voting Assistance Program's (FVAP) website at www.FVAP.gov.

Have a great day!

ITTP Prague: Accommodation

We are very happy to announce that ITTP will be offering a new accommodation option as of today, April 1st 2012. We did have mostly overall positive feedback regarding our Prague Castle apartment but there were a few issues which needed addressing, which our clients let us know. One of the main issues was that the apartment was showing a little wear and tear and as the building owners were not willing to invest in basic renovation (sigh) we had little choice than to hand in our notice and locate new apartments. Our new apartments are located in the safest section of the city and just 15 minutes travel time by tram to the Training Center location. The good news also is that we have negotiated an excellent rate for our clients and compared with other TEFL schools in the city we believe that now we offer the best deal without needing to compromise location. ITTP accommodation is only available for clients of our Combined course and Onsite course programs.
