-Q: Does the certification have an expiration? Meaning, would I have to retake the course at any point?

-A: No, the certificate does not and it is valid for your complete teaching English career - however long you wish to teach English for. If you decide to go back to teaching English after a break then the certificate is still valid. ITTP international TEFL/TESOL certificates have a lifetime validity.
